Having and deploying a good operational methodology brings several benefits. The main one is the fact that through a methodology we become able to provide uniformity in our services and guarantee a high standard independently from the professionals directly involved.

The need for a methodology isn't a prerogative of a telecommunications consulting practice. The arguments above would be equally applicable to any other consulting practice. However, what makes an operational methodology so important for a telecommunications consulting practice is the fact that it isn't possible to execute credible WAN analysis without using complex algorithms. Telecommunications consulting companies rely heavily on analytical tools to be able to perform their job properly. The use of complex algorithms in its turn imposes the need for organized data gathering and formatting processes (Methodology).

Our methodology "Wide Area Network Analysis Methodology®" is an operational methodology developed to support our telecommunications consulting practice worldwide. The methodology covers all phases involved when providing Telecommunications consulting services, from the sales to the report preparation.

The core of this methodology is the WAN design tool Ariete®, The Ariete®, based on the specific information of the client it is capable to identify the ideal WAN and simulate operational scenarios.

The methodology includes also a complete library of templates and all manuals describing thoroughly each task to be executed within a Telecommunication consulting engagement. All documents were written in four languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese and French).

Our methodology was created to be the backbone of our telecommunications consulting practice, and although having a heavy technical component its emphasis is in the economical aspects. All the efforts are aimed to produce the most cost effective WAN (within the quality standards previously defined).

The Wide Area Network Analysis Methodology® is extremely flexible and was designed to be deployed in any environment. The software Ariete® was written to be completely configurable and therefore adaptable to any tariff system, adopting any pricing strategy (more than fifty four pricing parameters). This flexibility is what makes us able to provide services worldwide including multi-country WANs.
